Bordeaux, one of France’s most renowned wine-producing areas, is unquestionably the country’s most beautiful city. Unsurprisingly, given its status as the capital of New Aquitaine, it is well known for its good wine. Although there are many excellent wineries to see and taste, that’s not all the region has to offer. Thanks to pedestrian-only zones and Place des Quinconces, the largest public plaza in France, the entire city is quite walkable. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the docks and port from the 17-arched Stone Bridge, which spans the Garonne.
